Dr. Michael Miqueli creates permanent change to the body that alleviates symptoms, treats conditions, and creates a state of health unmatched by other practitioners.

In 2009, he earned certification in massage therapy at Gwinnett College.  During the same year he completed his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from Life University, Dr. Miqueli’s practice was awarded the 2015 Patients’ Choice Awards for Registered Massage Therapists (RMT) in Denver.

While working in the Life University clinic system, Dr. Miqueli was the only student in his class capable of working with patients who suffered from herniated discs, spondylothesis, cerebrospinal fluid leakage, and other severe conditions.

His experience and extensive knowledge of the human body greatly reduces — and can even eliminate — a patient’s pain in one visit.

Specially trained by innovators in the chiropractic field, Dr. Miqueli offers treatments not available anywhere else in the downtown Denver area. His areas of expertise include kinesiomuscular therapy, neuromuscular therapy (NMT), Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT), Chiropractic BioPhysics® (CBP®), and Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique (CMRT).

Kinesiomuscular Therapy

Allowing you relief from your pain in just one appointment with Dr. Miqueli, kinesiomuscular therapy helps break apart adhesions and scar tissue that limit muscle flexibility and length. This form of massage therapy treats common muscular issues, including carpal tunnel syndrome, thoracic outlet syndrome, golfer’s and tennis elbow, shin splints, plantar fasciitis, piriformis syndrome, temporomandibular joint and muscle (TMJ) disorders, headaches, rotator cuff injuries, torticollis, muscle spasms, and fibromyalgia — just to name a few.

Neuromuscular Therapy

Using neuromuscular therapy, Dr. Miqueli can reduce or eliminate your chronic pain by precisely and thoroughly examining and treating your body’s soft tissues. This type of therapy can sometimes be used to ease the pain of acute injuries or as part of post-surgical care. Additionally, it can also be used as a preventative measure — stopping injuries before they start. This is possible because neuromuscular therapy considers perpetuating factors that may be associated with your pain, like allergies, nutritional deficits, emotional and mental well-being, and so on. This multidisciplinary approach often brings with it significant relief.

Sacro Occipital Technique

Originally formulated in the 1920s, Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) was meant to go beyond simple spinal corrections and adjust patterns in the body. Using physical indicators to determine which parts of the body need attention, Dr. Miqueli will design a different adjustment set on each of your visits. With the precise diagnostic methods involved with SOT, sub-clinical problems — those below the surface of your awareness — can be detected even though they are not necessarily causing you pain. That means this technique can detect issues before they start to hurt you.

Chiropractic BioPhysics®

Chiropractic BioPhysics® can restore your spine’s proper alignment and relieve pain. Following a scientific analysis of your posture and the curvature of your spine, Dr. Miqueli will develop a treatment plan. This may include adjustments, exercises, and a variety of tested and proven spinal remodeling techniques based on your specific posture abnormalities, gender, body size, and configurations of your spinal curvature. Rather than focusing on immediate pain relief, Dr. Miqueli will go one step further to correct the source of your problem.

Chiropractic Manipulative Reflex Technique

This technique involves organ function analysis and treatment, and is sometimes referred to as “bloodless surgery.” Many severe and potentially life-threatening conditions related to organ dysfunction can actually be prevented or treated by correcting the involved organ structures. Using this technique, Dr. Miqueli will correct nervous system signals to your organs and adjust the position of your internal organs, fascia, and other organ-related structures. In some cases, spinal and reflex adjustment may be necessary, too.

Other Techniques

Dr. Miqueli uses other chiropractic techniques, including the Thompson Technique, the Activator Method, the Gonstead Technique, the Diversified Technique (DT), and the toggle recoil technique. The massage modalities he uses include acupressure massage, craniosacral therapy (CST), cross-fiber friction massage, deep muscle and tissue massage, myofascial release (MFR), myotherapy, reflexology, Rolfing, sports massage, Swedish massage, Shiatsu, and Thai massage.

Dr. Miqueli enjoys conducting nutritional research, playing the violin and guitar, hiking, camping, scuba diving, and skiing.
